Happy Birthday to our 5 year old girl!

It was G's birthday on July 24! When she was born fireworks went off (literally-it was Pioneer Day)! And, we've felt like that about her ever since. She is so spunky, joyful, intelligent and precious. She is kind, compassionate, and so capable. Some of Grace's favorites at 5 years are:
Polly Pockets
Sushi
Horses
Giggling
Dogs
Dolls
Bike Riding
anything glittery
lip gloss
BOOKS!
drawing
doing experiments (usually including all my baking supplies)
wrestling with her brother
setting up forts for her baby sister to try to get through
swimming
The library
suckers and ice breakers
Everything...she's so joyful and always excited about life!
Love you Gracie girl! You make us so incredibly happy!

Good things come in pairs!

Grace's Grandma Shele and Grandpa Glen knew that she loved American Girl dolls. So, they sent her Kitt Kittredge and even matching jammies for Grace! She is in Heaven!

Among her favorite activities of the day....

Was going to Kitt Kittredge-American Girl. She loved this movie and even took her sweet little doll along!
She's so excited to be going to kindergarten...so a new backpack was in order!

Totally forget the last zucchini you saw...this is better!

The other day I went out to weed the vegi garden and check on our new zucchini's progress. May I say, they have progressed-oh yes they have! I'm talking-state fair sized zucchinis! Seriously-this picture doesn't do them justice, but they are insanely large. I'm pretty sure we'll grow weary of eating zucchini this season!

From our garden!!!!

JR and I have really grown to love gardening and it's a blast to have the kids peek in the garden to see what is popping up. The zucchini are going crazy. Anyone for zucchini bread?

And from Sauvie Island's garden...

T was a die hard raspberry picker! He insisted we couldn't leave until we picked at least 7 pounds, which we did. He also believed that he was in heaven. Raspberries are his favorite!
Getting prepared for a fun filled afternoon of raspberry picking! She's always so excited about everything-we love it!

Berry picking is berry exhausting!

To say she was a sticky mess would be putting it lightly. She was literally covered-head to toe-in crushed raspberries. And, she even has some hiding away in her hands, perhaps for an after snooze snack? (note: There was a good reason I dressed her in a raspberry colored outfit for berry picking!)
