Happy Birthday to you, JR!

JR had a birthday yesterday! I was glad for a chance to celebrate him. He is a good man...so here are 28 of the many reasons I love you J (and one to grow on: Happy B-day!

1. JR is so thoughtful, kind, and sweet!

2. He loves all music-especially classic rock!

3. JR is painfully hilarious and makes me laugh constantly!

4. From the time he was 18, he has worked SO hard to make our family happy and secure.

5. He is intelligent and always trying to learn new things. He's earned his great job-and even looks better than the District Attorneys on Law and Order!

6. He is an awesome, amazing, cook-I'm talking mini Martha Stewart.

7. He is SO good looking!

8. JR is always happy and it is very contagious. He is always excited about life.

9. JR never complains.

10. JR would be a beach bum if he could and surf everyday.

11. JR is an amazing photographer. He's published pictures in magazines, done weddings, photo shoots, and has the best dang pictures of our kids you'd ever see!

12. JR is the first one to want to help others out.

13. When JR watches movies about sports, fighting, whatever...he gets the itch to go out right then and do it. He gets all pumped.

14. JR does what is best for our family, even at his own expense, all the time.

15. He really knows how to play with our kids. They get SO excited when he comes home from work!

16. He is totally consistent with everything he does...especially parenting.

17. JR gets ticked at bad drivers, and if they tick him off, he gives them the mad staredown with his dark, foreboding eyebrows...even I get scared.

18. He'll even do that to old people...mean, huh!

19. JR is fiercely loyal to his family.

20. JR secretly loves face masks...sorry JR...it's out there now. But, maybe that's why you're such a man beauty.

21. He is an awesome athlete and he's amazing at soccer-I love watching him play. He also rocks at skiing.

22. JR is completely sincere, honest, compassionate, and spiritual, but he lives his spirituality without boastfullness or showiness.

23. JR once cried in a movie-shocking I know-but it was in I am Sam...he saw the first part where the mother abandoned her child...and he stood for the WHOLE show...he could hardly stand that a parent could hurt their child like that. He cares so much about children.

24. JR appreciates good humor, and good movies/shows-such as Conan O'Brien, The Office, Scrubs, Spaceballs, Juno, Dan in Real Life, SNL, etc, Adam Sandler, etc.

25. JR is a wicked good dancer, I'm talking super good, but he won't ever dance when he goes to weddings or anything. Did I mention super super good? He can fast jam, or do any slow dance-fox trot whatever.

26. He loves a good car-his favorite car is a Lamborgini Coontash (however you spell it).

27. He's an amazing gardener, artist, can solve any computer problem, and can NEVER just relax and watch TV (he has to be reading at the same time, or fixing something, or moving in some way)

28. He's incredibly time efficient and can get fifty things done in an hour that would take me 5 or 6.

29. This is one to grow on, JR. JR is loved by so many people. He is just a lovable, happy, wonderful person. I love you JR! Happy Birthday babe!

That is some quick wit, T man!

I know it was the Sabbath Day. I had to teach in Relief Society, so I was trying really hard to have a nice feeling in our home. T and G get along really well...for the most part...but not so much today. They squabbled over silly little things. I had them seperate for a while to cool down, and T looked straight at me and said, "mom-I will be punished for my own sins, and not for G...'s transgressions!" Well, he's got me there.

JR and I were laughing so hard at this! Check out T's fancy foot shuffle! And, G was just rocking out all night! We had a blast at Family Fun Night dancing, eating pizza, playing, and watching all the huddles of girls giggling and swooning over T. His teacher pulled me aside and said there was talk of a cat fight...relax ladies-T is more interested in baseball than you. (sort of)

We adored watching G get out there and shake it. She had so much fun at T's school and seemed not to care one bit one anyone thought. We loved that! She's so delightful!
